Message from Elizabeth Seeliger, AuD - Wisconsin Sound Beginnings

Dear Pediatric Audiologists,

As you are all aware, businesses, individuals, and organizations around the world, including in the State of Wisconsin, are responding and adapting to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). I understand that these are scary and uncertain times. You are vitally important to the children and families of WI at this time and always. The work of newborn hearing screening in Wisconsin continues during the COVID-19 outbreak. Thank you for all you have done to continue screening every baby for congenital blood, heart and hearing conditions. All obligations, laws, and Wisconsin Department of Health policies regarding newborn hearing screening and all related follow-up remain in place. In order to determine the extent of the gaps in services, it is vitally important that you complete this very short survey no later than April 6th, 2020. (click here for the survey

We really only need one completed survey per facility, but please complete separate surveys for the birth unit and NICU and / or audiology clinic if they are co-located. Duplicate submissions are no problem so if you are unsure if someone else has completed, please submit another one.  We would much prefer to get too many rather than have a lack of information about your facility.

Thank you for your time and service,

Elizabeth Seeliger, AuD
