About Hot Topics
WSHA-P's Hot Topics serves as a vehicle
to provide members with information about current issues and
debates facing the professions on a state level. It also offers
a more permanent location for papers, presentations, handouts,
and background information on each topic presented. Feel free
to contact the WSHA-P office (wsha@wisha.org)
for questions, clarifications, or to suggest another "hot
topic" for consideration. Consensus building requires good
information!

SLP Assistants
Over the last 10+ years, much discussion, investigation, and work has been done on the broad topic of aides, assistants, and paraprofessionals. Below are documents that address some of that history, provide some explanation, and describe WSHA-P's activities on this broad issue. Feel free to read any and all of these documents and contact any member of the WSHA-P Board with questions or comments. As new issues arise, you will find information posted in this section in a timely manner.
